Post-doc (Fisheries/Aquatic Sciences/Quantitative Ecology), University of Toronto, Canada

Description of duties: Research will focus on analyzing a large dataset related to the fish community and additional trophic levels, sampled from numerous locations within Lake Erie during the past two decades. This research will be conducted in collaboration between the University of Toronto and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. The overall objective is to study the interactions among fish species and their environmental conditions, such as temperature, nutrients, zooplankton and phytoplankton communities in Lake Erie, to develop a better understanding of factors influencing the dynamics and recruitment of commercially important species (walleye, yellow perch, lake whitefish). This rich dataset provides great opportunities to develop additional hypotheses or questions of interest to study.
